Who We Are
WAR EAGLE DISTRICT- Founded on February 8, 1910. The War Eagle District of the Boy Scouts of America serves roughly 2,000 youth in N. Sioux City South Dakota, Dixon & Dakota Counties in Nebraska, and Sioux, Plymouth, Woodbury, Ida and Monona Counties in Iowa. The District is supported by over 700 volunteer leaders and is part of the Mid-America Council.The Mid-America Council has a strong tradition as one of the Nation's premier Scout Councils. Since 1910, the Boy Scouts of America has instilled timeless values of character, citizenship and leadership in each young man who has entered the Scouting program. The Mid-America Council continues this tradition through educational based skills and activities. Currently, there are over 33,700 Scouts and nearly 10,000 volunteer leaders.

Pack 208 Serves Morningside Elementary and the Morningside Neighborhood of Sioux City, Iowa. Our sponsor organization is Faith United Presbyterian Church, which is located on Morningside Ave. Pack 208 has enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with this church, and we hope to continue our friendship. First Brides Grave Clean Up Community Service

FAMILY CAMPOUT
May 31 at 6 PM – Jun 2 at 12 PM Please join us for our first family campout for the summer at Ponca State Park. We will meet on Friday at Morningside Public Library and leave at 6p.m. to carpool out to the camp. If you are not able to come out Friday you are welcome to come out just for Saturday night. Activities are in the process of being planned with the park and will be announced with set up. Please comment in the event if you will be there for one night or two and how many people will be attending. We will need health forms for each family member attending this event, if you have filled one out already we have them on file. Community Service at Bacon Creek Park
June 17th 2019 Hope everyone can make it to our community service clean up at Bacon Creek . We will meet at the first shelter at 6:30, we will pick up trash for half an hour then the Scouts can play in the playground equipment. This will count towards their June activity for the national summertime pack award. It also counts for one of the requirements for the Outdoor Activity Award. Parents/Kids Kickball Night
June 24th Morningside Lutheran Church 700 S Martha St, Sioux City, Iowa 51106 Event starts at 6:30p.m. We encourage everyone to come ready to play some kickball, yes this includes siblings and parents. We split everyone up into two teams and enjoy a friendly game of kickball. Tri Pack Pool Party

Our Next Den Meeting will be
in August after our Summer Break. Join us for all the fun summer calendar plans A Den is an assigned group by grade that a scout will be designated to at sign up. Scouts will meet weekly with their dens to work on required advancements. Class A Uniform is required for Pack Meetings but a scout can either wear his class B Tee Shirt or Class A for a Den. One Monday a month, our individual Dens will meet together as a Pack. Tigers through Arrow of Light (1st-5th Grade) join together for updated announcements, current advancements, and fun group activities. Lions will join in on two Pack meetings a year scheduled with their Lion Guide.
Throughout the year different Dens will be responsible for our Pack Meeting opening flag ceremony. Pack 208 has many ways to keep in contact for upcoming events.
